On Thursday 4 June, Wagenborg Nedlift hoisted the last coal-fired bucket dredger in the Netherlands, called 'Vooruit', from the museum harbour onto the car park of the Dutch Steam Engine Museum in Medemblik (NL). A large-scale maintenance operation is scheduled for the dredger.
After having been on the water for 15 years, the time has come for an inspection and large-scale restoration of the underwater vessel, the support beam and the buckets.
