Smart railway bridge solution in Wesel
This ESTA award is a fantastic culmination of all our work. In fact, for this project, two existing railway viaducts over the River Lippe in Wesel were replaced on the Emmerich-Oberhausen railway line and an additional link was constructed. Our bridge team installed the 156-metre-long and 1,080-tonne bridge using an ingenious combination of four SPMT sets. Among other things, what made the project so special? The Lippe river is inaccessible and too shallow for heavy pontoons, so entering the railway bridge was not an option. How else did we tackle the project? Read more about it here.
Winning an ESTA award is great recognition for all our employees. After all, our colleagues come up with smart and unique specialised solutions to complex lifting and transport challenges time and again.
ESTA Europe is the European trade association for the heavy transport, lifting and crane rental sector. ESTA represents national trade associations in the field. ESTA Awards are presented annually for projects that stand out in terms of technical ingenuity, innovation or safety. This year, the ceremony took place in Munich.
