Heavy loads expertly from A to B

SPMTs (Self Propelled Modular Transporters) are a solution for moving ultra-heavy loads. 

 

Wagenborg Nedlift SPMTs have a variable trailer deck height of 1,500 mm +/- 300 mm and swing axles that can be rotated up to 360°. The maximum axle load is 40 tonnes. They are operated by remote control.

10 January 2025 Masterful transport of immense lock gates by Wagenborg

For the construction of a new lock complex in Brunsbüttel, Germany, Wagenborg recently transported three new lock gates in Emden. On three consecutive days, these lock gates with a total weight of over 2,500 tons each were driven out of the manufacturing hall. For this, Wagenborg deployed no less than 136 axle lines of SPMT. In the course of this year, Wagenborg will ship the lock doors by pontoon to their final destination.
